Seven Places Jesus Shed His Blood & its significance

This is a message I shared a few weeks ago at Church for Communion and felt that The Lord wanted me to share it again here. Communion is such a powerful tool we have as the body of Christ, not only to remember that Christ died for us, conquered the grave and rose again in victory, but also to remember that we can walk in complete freedom from the enemy in every area of our life. Communion is something we can do on a daily basis to claim victory in any circumstance we are going through by claiming, decreeing and declaring the freedom and victory that Christ Jesus has given us through what He went through.

Here is the 7 places that Jesus shed His Blood for us and its significance in the area we have victory over and complete freedom from enemy.

1) The Sweating of Blood (In the garden of Gethsemane)

Luke 22:40-44 NKJV- When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.  And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. This signifies that Jesus Won Back Our Willpower to resist temptation because He overcame the greatest temptation that was so intense, it caused Him to sweat blood.

2) The stripes on Jesus back and shedding of blood at the whipping post.

John 19:1  So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him.

Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. This signifies that Jesus has won back our Health. His body was broken so ours could be made whole.

3) He was bruised and suffered Internal bleeding from being beaten.

Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: This signifies that Jesus won back our right standing with God & delivered us from our iniquities (Wickedness/Sin)

4) The shedding of blood when receiving the Crown of Thorns upon his head.

John 19:2 And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. This signifies that Jesus has won back our Peace of mind and that we are free of torment. The enemy can no longer torment our minds.

5) The blood that was shed through Jesus’ Pierced Hands.

Matt 27:35 Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting lots, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet: “They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.” (It was custom in those days to crucify people by nailing their hands & feet to the cross). This signifies that Jesus won back our prosperity so that everything we put our hands to, shall prosper.

6) The blood that was shed through Jesus’ Pierced Feet.

Matt 27:35 This signifies that Jesus won back our dominion & authority

Gen 1:26 says “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Luke 10:19 says “Behold, I give to you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the authority of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

7) The blood that was shed through the spear in Jesus side.

John 19:34 “But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.” The fact that blood & water flowed from his side symbolises that Jesus died from a broken heart, the intensity and anguish of the weight and burden of all of our sins that He took on Himself and our continual betrayal against Him was to much to bear & ultimately caused His Heart to stop beating. This signifies that Jesus won back our Joy and healed us of our broken Hearts.

Imagine for a moment, the most traumatic emotional experience you have ever experienced. I know myself there has been at least a few times that I have experienced such emotional anguish that it felt like my heart heart was going to stop or I would literally implode. Now imagine the emotional guilt you feel when you sin, when you really blow it. Now multiply that emotional anguish, pain, suffering and guilt of sin by the entire population of the world, no human being is able to handle that much emotional stress and it is physiologically impossible for any human heart to endure without failing. That’s the magnitude of what Jesus Christ took on himself to purchase our freedom and salvation. It’s no wonder that His heart failed and He literally died of a broken heart.

Something that I find quite interesting is, that God never does anything by accident or as a random event, everything He does & everything that is in the Bible is deliberate and for a reason, even the significance of numbers used in the bible. There is so many hidden gems if we study out the Bible and understand that even in a scripture that we have read over & over, there might still be something that the Lord is trying to tell us, whether it be a specific number or a time & place, we need to allow ourselves to be directed by The Holy Spirit when reading the Bible to get the revelation that the Lord is wanting to share with us at that specific time for a specific purpose.

7 is the number of Completion and Perfection (Both in the Physical & Spiritual).

• Jesus needed to shed his blood 7 times in 7 different areas of His body so that we could receive a complete and perfect Salvation and Freedom from the Enemy.

Jesus paid the ultimate price for our Freedom by taking on our sin and purchasing the punishment of our sin which was ultimately death and eternity in Hell. Jesus took back the keys of Authority to the earth that Satan stole from us and through His resurrection, Jesus completed the transaction and the Enemy was defeated from our lives, in every area of our life. Through our Salvation in Christ, we were restored to our original Identity which is in Christ and given complete access and restoration to our freedom from the Enemy and our Authority over the Enemy.

My Prayer

Lord we give you thanks and we come before you to honor you and take these emblems in remembrance of what you have done for us, that this bread represents your broken body so that ours could be made whole. Lord that this wine represents your blood that was spilled, so that we could be cleansed & purified of all unrighteousness. We thank you Jesus that you restored our willpower to resist temptation when you sweated blood, that by your stripes and the blood you shed on the whipping post, we have been completely healed and set free of all sickness, pain and suffering. We thank you Jesus, that through the internal bleeding you suffered, you restored our right standing with the Father and delivered us from our wickedness and shame. We thank you Jesus that you received a Crown of Thorns, so that we could have peace and be set free of all torment in our Minds. Thank you Jesus that by the blood you shed by your pierced hands, that you won back our prosperity and set us free from lack, so that everything we put our hands to, shall prosper. That by the blood you shed with your pierced feet, you won back our Dominion and Authority. And we also thank you Jesus that the blood you shed by your pierced side, restored our Joy & healed our broken Hearts. We love you Lord and we honor you Father God for allowing your son Jesus to go through what He did because you love us unconditionally so that we could be in relationship with you for eternity. Amen

The Lord cares about the smallest of details for your life

“But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.”

‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭2:9-12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I feel that the Lord is saying, as long as you use your spirit senses to seek wisdom & understanding from God by the Holy Spirit that dwells within you & not by your physical worldly senses dictated by the circumstances presently around you, the Lord will show you the depths of His Heart for you, He will guide you in all wisdom by His Holy Spirit & will show you the things that He has already freely given you. This will begin to shift your sight to align with the spiritual realm and as you begin to declare & decree according to what God reveals to you with your spiritual sight & senses, the current circumstances of your life will begin to align with what God has already declared & spoken over you.

The Lord is wanting to reassure you & to encourage you to continue to press into Him for every little detail because even the smallest details that may seem insignificant & not that important, to God, every detail is important, He cares about every detail of your life. He wants to know what’s on your heart for every detail of your life, so that He can share what’s on His heart for every detail of your life. Gods ways are higher than our ways, His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. If we do it His way with His thoughts that He reveals for us in those intimate moments with Him, it will always work out better than we can think or imagine from our carnal worldly perspective. If we surrender all our ways & thoughts to Him, then our perspective will begin to align with the Lords perspective for even the smallest details.  As we begin to think about what’s ahead for 2016, begin to ask The Lord about the small details of your life, because as we understand The Lords heart for the small details, the bigger picture is refined & redefined which then becomes clearer with more purpose.

Courage comes from love

As I was questioning God about why he created us with a free will when that same free will could be used to (knowingly or unknowingly) reject or hurt Him or His loved ones, He started to reveal more facets of the Power of Love.

“Love comes from free will.  Can you force someone to love?  No.  It’s impossible.  You can force someone to comply and act in loving ways, but you can never ever ever force a heart to love someone.  Hence why I created you with a free will.  I want your love and I want to love you.

As I pondered the idea that God created millions and millions of human beings I was brought to a glimpse of the utter vastness and shear size of His love, and the shear size of the risk He took of being hurt by so many.

“WOW, that’s courageous of You”,  I commented.

“Yes”  He answered.  “Love is courageous”

I then contemplated the idea of the saying ‘when you love someone set them free, if they love you they will come back’.

I realised that God has already exercised the courage of giving us the free will to potentially hurt Him with our choices and He has already exercised the courage of ‘letting us all go’.   He created us in love and in courage.  He is courageously and eagerly hoping that we choose to love Him and come home.

I came to realise that when we need to find courage to do something, we need to find love for that something.   I also realised that God, himself, already exercised courage for that same thing and we can rest in His courage and love.

Deuteronomy 31:6  Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you

Discover Me. Discover You.

Emilia – 8th November 2015

“Children!  My beloved children.  I love you with My deepest being.  You stir the life in Me!  I am ever so proud of you.  I love that you want to know Me deeply.  I love that you want to spend time with Me… the real Me.  Many approach me with their own version of who I am, but you want to spend time to discover the real Me.  That’s why and how I am allowing you to discover the real you.  And don’t you find freedom in that?”

John 4:23 But the hour is coming and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father is spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him

If you are feeling a drawing to our Lord and desperately searching to know the truth about Him, then the good news is this….  He loves it!  He wants to be known, just like we do.  Don’t you love it when you truly know someone from sharing your hearts together, being vulnerable together?  You can know about someone, and then you can really know someone.  Its the same with God and He wants us to get to know Him.  If we come to Him with that same vulnerability, He will share parts of His heart that you’ve never seen before AND you will discover truths about yourself too.

The Lord Will Give You Rest

I have not posted anything for the last couple of weeks out of respect for a dear friend who passed away last Tuesday but felt that now I needed to share something that the Lord has placed on my heart for the last few days. It has been a difficult week and a half and even during my own lack of understanding and desperation to seek God for answers, The Lord is continually reminding me that no matter what we go through, through Christ our Savior, we have the ability to overcome all obstacles and situations, because He has already overcome them for us.

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Lord wants us to come to Him with all our burdens, all our pain and suffering and hand it over to Him so that He can give us rest and piece in the situation we are going through. It doesn’t mean we forget all that has happened or that we don’t feel any emotion anymore, it means that if we trust God and place it in His hands, He will help us and give us the strength to get through our current circumstances and we will feel a piece in knowing that Jesus is doing the journey with us and we can rest in The Holy Spirit to guide us in overcoming all that we are going through.

Lately I have been listening to a particular Hillsong United song called “Take Heart” and every time I listen to it, I am reduced to tears, not with tears of sorrow but with tears of joy knowing that whatever this world may throw at me, Christ has already overcome and given me the power to overcome through Him.  I have changed the words slightly to make it more of a personal declaration during the start of my prayer time in the mornings and this is how it reads.

“Lord, you are my light, You burn brighter than the sun, You steal the night. You cast no shadow and in you Lord, there is hope. Should oceans rise and mountains fall, Lord, you never fail.

So I take heart Lord, Because your love leads me through the night. I Hold on to hope, and in you Lord, I take courage again.

In death by your love Lord, The fallen world was overcome. You wear the scars of my freedom and in your Name Lord Jesus, all my fears are swept away, you never fail.

All my troubles and all my tears, God you are my hope and you have overcome. All my failure and all my fears, God you are love and you have overcome. All my heartache and all my pain, God you are my healer and you have overcome. All my burdens and all my shame, God you are my freedom and you have overcome.

God you are my justice, God you are my grace, God you are my freedom and you have overcome. God you are my refuge, God you are my strength, God you are with me and you have overcome.”

The Tide Is About To Turn With A Release Of Freedom

During my time of worship yesterday, I had a vision of a ship that was going up a river, it was going wherever the river was leading. I then saw that the ship was coming toward a large opening with a great expanse of waters such as an ocean but the ship was now hardly moving, it was trying to get to this great open expanse of water but was struggling to make progress toward it. I realised that the ship was in fact going up stream and against the tide that was coming in. The ship continued to labor but then, the tide suddenly changed and the ship quickly gained ground effortlessly with such a freedom, into the great expanse of water.

The Lord is saying that the tide is about to change on our circumstances. I see that many of the Body of Christ have been on a journey of contending for many of the promises God has spoken over them but it feels like you are not making much ground and that the tide against you is to strong. Be encouraged that against the tide is where you want to be because even though it may seem so much easier to turn the boat around and go with the current, the current will eventually become stagnant and the waters will eventually dry up. Keep standing and contending against the tide of your current circumstances because the Lord is about to change the tide and you will see a sudden change that will cause your future, that you are contending for, to become reality and physically manifested in your life. Now is the time to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus more than ever and continue to allow the Holy Spirit to drive you by directing your speech, your decrees and declarations. Keep standing on the words & promises the Lord has given you because the tide is about to suddenly change where you will see a sudden acceleration towards the great expanse of waters which is the promises and blessing of God. You will see a sudden ease and freedom in your moving forward towards the things you have been contending for and your future that you have continued to prophesy over yourself, is about to become reality. With this, will also come greater God Devine appointed encounters that will cause you to go to the next level in your relationship with The Lord and the mantle that God has placed on you will be enlarged with a greater authority & influence.

“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” Genesis 28:15 NKJV

“For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly. Freedom of our unique identity

During a time of beautiful worship with 3 other amazing women, today, I saw a portal of light from heaven come between the 4 of us.  It was bright but soft and flowing.  I then noticed that each of us were spheres of light and we started to co-mingle with the portal of light.  What I became aware of was that the lights were free to move and mingle as they were not defined by any shape or enclosure.  There was no hardness about them.  There was no definition of shape or size or structure, they were just free.  As these lights danced and mingled together, there was a sense of freedom of joy.

As the freedom of expression progressed, I felt that my own light was breaking forth out of me with gentle explosions of colours and sounds.  I felt like my inner self was experiencing a beautiful freedom of expression.

As I enquired to the Lord about this He said that when we behave authentically from our unique and true identity we experience that freedom and we co-mingle with heaven freely.  The enemy doesn’t want us to experience this so he works tirelessly to remove that free interaction by placing definitions on us that harden us by lying to us about what we are, what we are not, what the world says we should be.  When we accept these definitions our inner light develops hard edges that can not freely move and intermingle.  We become defined and shaped into an identity that is no longer our own and we lose our freedom, our authenticity, our identity and ultimately develop walls between ourselves and heaven, feeling trapped.

I was then made aware that each and every human being has a unique deposit of heaven within them which can only be released by operating out of our unique identity.  In fact we are responsible for releasing our piece of heaven on this earth.  If we do not walk in our unique identity, then not only are we are enslaved by a false identity and entrapment but the world does not get to experience that part of heaven of which we are purposed to impart.

An Outpouring Of The Holy Spirit to Revive & Awaken

Nathan – Tuesday 13th Oct 2015

The Lord gave me a vision today of a Heart, this heart was not beating but then all of a sudden it started to beat. I then saw the words “Revive and Awaken”. The Holy Spirit then began to show me that we are coming into a season where God is going to bring revival by reviving the Church in a way that will usher in a great move and outpouring of The Holy Spirit that we have never seen before. This outpouring will be so great and powerful that the Body of Christ will be transformed in such a way that there will be an overflow of Gods glory and presence on believers, that where ever they go in their communities, the unsaved that come into their sphere of spiritual influence will encounter an Awakening of their spirit with a supernatural encounter with The Holy Spirit.

Right now, there are many in the Body Of Christ that are experiencing a personal God stretching within themselves like they have never experienced before. Even though you are continuing to stand in prayer and press into Gods presence, you are experiencing a flat feeling, like you have nothing else to give. Be encouraged that even though at times you feel that God is no where to be found in your situation, He has not abandoned you and is by your side walking through the fire with you. God is refining you and preparing you for what is about to come, refining and preparing you for this reviving that is about to take place that will cause a spiritual awakening of the unsaved that you come into your sphere of spiritual influence. This spiritual awakening will see manifestations and demonstrations of supernatural encounters in our daily lives and within our communities like we have never seen before. We need to be ready for this great move of God that is coming so that we are partakers and vessels of this great move of God and not just observers.

Keep pressing into God’s presence, seeking Gods heart and Kingdom first and know that God is doing a deep work within you, refining you from the inside to define your outside sphere of spiritual influence.

Speak and alter the destiny of your future. God is about to breath on your situation.

Nathan – Friday 9th Oct 2015

While I was in Worship this morning, I received a vision of a ship in the ocean going in a certain direction. I then saw a tongue and just the head of a person. As the head of this person opened their mouth to speak, the ship then suddenly altered course and was now going in a completely different direction. The Lord then reminded me of the following scripture

“A man’s [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil]. Death and Life are in the power of the tongue, And they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]“ Proverbs 18;20-21 AMP. In Matthew 12:37, Jesus says the following “For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced” AMP.

The Lord began to show me that there are many in The Body Of Christ right now, that the direction they are heading in is being dictated by the words they are speaking and confessing over themselves. Words that are negative and damaging to their future and current circumstances, that are not aligned with the Word of God. Our tongue is like the rudder of a ship that steers the direction of our life. Words we speak, creates an atmosphere that will physically manifest in your life. I feel that the Holy Spirit is wanting to impart a revelation on the power of our words and as we begin to speak words that align with the Word of God and with what God says, your life will make a sudden turn, a change of direction that will align you with Gods destiny and purpose for your life. When this happens, you will see new doors open that seemed to be shut, new opportunities with a fresh new vision for your life. You will see and feel an energizing of your Spirit that is lifted by God’s Spirit.

The power is in your tongue to create life or death in the circumstances of your future.

I also saw the sails of a ship, suddenly being filled with a gust of wind. The Holy Spirit revealed that there is also many in The Body of Christ that have already changed direction, altered the course of their future by aligning their words, declarations and decrees to what the Word of God says and the Promises God has spoken, but are yet to see the fruits of their re-alignment. They have poured out and sacrificed everything, continued to trust and have faith in The Lord but feel as though their sails have run out of wind and may even feel that God has abandoned your situation or circumstances. The Lord is saying don’t give up, keep standing, keep pressing in and praising through the discomfort and pain of your current circumstances because The Lord is about to suddenly breath his Spirit upon you, that will not only fill your sails to continue but will also bring about a sudden breakthrough with supernatural encounters in which you will see the fruit of your labor. The blessing and provision you are about to witness in your life will be far beyond what you thought or imagined. The doors you think that need to be opened are already open and if you continue to stand firm, what God has decreed & declared in the Heavenly spiritual realm will cross through the open door and manifest into your life in this physical earthly realm. The Lord has not abandoned your situation, He is standing with you.

Praying from your Heavenly seat

The Kingdom within us is more powerful than the kingdom around us. We have dual citizenship, we are citizens of Heaven and citizens of Earth. The question is, do we live from Earth toward Heaven or do we live from Heaven toward Earth.

The Lord has been speaking to me over the last couple of days about the way I pray and how my perspective of where I see myself seated when I pray, can not only change my current circumstances, but can alter my present to be aligned with how I see my future without causing delay.

The word of God says that the exceeding greatness of God’s power is towards us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He worked in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at the right hand of God in the Heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Eph 1:19-23

In Romans 8:17 it says that we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. In Romans 12:5 it says that we are one body in Christ.

If we are in Christ and Christ is seated at the right hand of God in Heavenly places, then we are also seated in Heavenly places. If God has placed Christ far above all principalities and powers of this earthly realm, then we also through our salvation in Christ, have been placed above all principalities and powers of this earthly realm. If we are the body of Christ and God has put all things under His feet, then God has also put all things under our feet. Our true identity is in Christ and Christ in us, gives us the Authority of Christ to rule over all things of this earthly realm and over all our circumstances. By this authority, all our circumstances must come into align with the Word of God and with our Heavenly citizenship which grants us access to all the blessing of Heaven in which we are joint heirs with Christ.

With this understanding, our prayer life should not be motivated by the negative circumstances around us. A book that I am reading at the moment called “Spirit Wars” by Kris Vallotton, describes this as a symptom of our seating arrangement. Earthly seating creates reactionary prayers. Yes we need to pray for these things and decree that our circumstances come into align with what the word of God says but if this is all we are focused on in our prayers, then we are placing too much much focus on what the enemy is doing rather than what God has already done through the finished works of Jesus. An Earthly seated position is not where we want to be praying from, we want to be praying from a Heavenly seated position which is our rightful place, seated with Christ on his Heavenly throne. From this seating arrangement, we live a prayer life that is powerful and on the offensive rather than defensive. Our prayers become prophetic declarations that direct our paths and history. With this seated position, our circumstances in this earthly realm will have no choice but to align themselves with what the Word of God says and with the promises that God has spoken and declared over us. It allows us to see our future as God sees it and gives us the ability to speak forth and prophesy our future into our present. We can change our present situation by prophesying a different future into being, one that is aligned with the promises of God and with what the Word of God says. We then start to pray with words like “God I thank you that you have done” rather than “God I thank you that you will do” or “Lord, I thank you have given me access to all promises you have spoken over me” not “Lord I thank you that you will give me access” or “God, I thank you that I am completely healthy and healed in all areas of my life” not “God please will you heal me”. With this perspective in our prayer life, the Kingdom within us will begin to dictate and direct the world around us so that we are no longer living as victims but as Victors in Christ Jesus.
